Important EMV® Upgrade Information

To provide our customers added security and fraud protection, we have upgraded all BAC issued debit cards to our new EMV Debit MasterCard®.

Your new card has a new number, along with state-of-the art security. Please review the helpful videos and other resources we have prepared for you by exploring the various updates that we have posted on this page.

Personal and Business Debt Cards

What you need to know.

  • Your card number and expiration date have changed.
  • Your PIN remains the same as on your old card.
  • Your old card will stop working within 10 days of activating your new card or on December 31, 2015 — whichever comes first.
  • If you use your debit card for on-demand or "in-app" purchases or for paying recurring bills, you'll need to provide your new card number to these billers. (Examples include cellular service, gym memberships, online shopping, prepaid coffee cards, subscriptions, insurance policies, etc.)
  • Use the worksheet available below to keep track of any biller needing your updated debit card information. 
  • Follow the activation instructions provided wth your new card.
  • Your new card will work at new "chip" terminals as well as old "swipe" terminals.

Coming Later this Year - Your New Debit MasterCard®

Soon, you will receive a brand new BAC Community Bank Debit MasterCard to replace your current Visa Check Card. Your new Debit MasterCard will have new features, too.

  • EMV chip
  • New BAC Community Bank branding
  • New card number
  • Simplified activation that allows you to keep your existing PIN

IMPORTANT TIP: Keep a list of all businesses and organizations where your current debit card is being used for recurring payments or "auto pay". This will enable you to easily notify these merchants when your card number and expiration date changes.
