ITM Functionality At-A-Glance

Interactive Teller Machines offer the best features of an ATM plus the ability to work with a live bank staff member during business hours by simply pressing "Help".

What is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM)?

An ITM is an innovative banking technology that allows you to conduct transactions you would typically perform in-branch via video conferencing at our branches. A live BAC Community Bank staff member can assist you virtually with your transaction during business hours.

Where are ITMs located?

We are rolling these machines out at our branches one-by-one. Visit our website at www.bankbac.com/itm for current locations and other helpful information. So far, our ITM machines are available at:

• Antioch (lobby)
• Brentwood – Downtown (lobby)
• Brentwood – Downtown (drive thru)
• Concord (outside walk-up)

How does an ITM work?

An ITM works like an ATM, but with the ability to transact with a live staff member through two-way video during business hours. The machine can work like an ATM, but during business hours you can simply press “Help” to do nearly anything that could be done in-person, even if you don’t have your debit card.

Why should I use an ITM?

ITMs allow us to serve you quickly, even on occasions when branch staff are assisting other customers. Plus, they are staffed by knowledgeable BAC Community Bank staff who are familiar with a full range of banking transactions and who are eager to help.

What transactions can be conducted at the ITM?

Almost any transaction that can be completed at a teller line can be completed at an ITM.

Examples include:

• Deposits of up to 50 items – checks, cash, or a mixture – in under a minute
• Smaller deposits processed in seconds
• No need for a deposit slip
• Make deposits with cash back
• Cash checks
• Cash withdrawals
• Exchange cash
• Get cash how you prefer: $100s, $20s, $5s, $1s (or any mixture)
• Transfer funds between accounts
• Balance inquiries
• Place stop payments
• Process nearly any banking transaction!

Who are the live BAC Community Bank staff members that I’ll be interacting with?

Our ITMs are staffed by knowledgeable BAC Community Bank staff who are familiar with a full range of banking transactions and who are eager to help. You may recognize a few of them, as they have worked in many of our branch locations.

What if I don’t have my debit card with me?

Just press “Help” during business hours, and a live staff member will assist you. Debit card not required.

Can I still use ATM features without a live teller to assist me?

Yes, if you prefer to complete an ATM transaction without the assistance of a live staff member, simply insert your debit card into the machine and follow the steps you would take with a typical ATM machine. During the ATM transaction, if you would like assistance, you have the option of speaking with a live employee during business hours by simply pressing “Help”.

If I am using my debit card, where do I enter my PIN?

Use the machine’s keypad, just like a regular ATM.

Can I still use the ATM function with a card issued by a different financial institution?

Yes. Our teller machines function as an ATM for cards that participate in the following networks:

• Visa
• Plus
• Mastercard
• Cirrus
• MoneyPass
• Accel

Can a non-customer use the ITM to cash a check?

At the moment, the ability to cash a check is only available to existing BAC customers. A non-customer cannot use the ITM for this transaction, and will need to approach a teller in the branch to cash a BAC check.

What currency bills can I deposit?

Although withdrawals are limited, deposits can accept any bill amount: $100s, $50s, $20s, $10s, $5s, $2s, $1s. Coin is not accepted.

Is there a fee to use an ITM?

No, working with a live staff member through an ITM is the same as going to a teller window inside the branch. There are no additional fees.
However, if you are using the machine as an ATM with a debit card issued by another institution, additional fees may apply.

Can I choose the denomination of currency when making a withdrawal?

Yes. Whether you are using the machine as a standard ATM or using the assistance of a live staff member, the lower screen will ask if you have a cash preference. You can choose specific denominations or split the cash however you like. These machines dispense all varieties of U.S. dollars, except $50, $10, and $2 bills.

Why is BAC Community Bank using Interactive Teller Machines?

There are a number of benefits for our customers:

• You’ll likely experience shorter lines, with live personal assistance every step of the way.
• You can complete up to 95% of typical teller transactions — like deposits, withdrawals and transfers — through an ITM.
• The addition of ITMs will allow customers to receive more consultative services in-branch.
