What are eAlerts?

eAlerts are automated messages, created by you, sent by email or text message about the status of your account(s) at BAC Community Bank.

For what types of accounts can I use eAlerts?

You can establish eAlerts for Checking, Savings, Certificate of Deposit and Loan accounts.

Is there a cost for eAlerts?

No. eAlerts is a free service.

What are the system requirements for eAlerts?

You must be an Internet Banking customer to use eAlerts. If you would like eAlerts sent to your email address, you must have a valid email address. If you would like eAlerts sent as a text message to your cell phone, you must have text messaging service from your cellular provider. (Standard text messaging and data rates may apply.)

Are my account numbers protected in the email?

Your account number will be masked. Only the last four digits will be visible. You will receive your email alerts from [email protected].

How do I change or stop an eAlert?

  • Log on to Internet Banking.
  • Click Alerts on the Menu Bar.
  • Click the Email or Text alert link.
  • Locate the alert and click the Edit or Delete icon.

How often are eAlert notifications sent?

You will receive applicable eAlerts from events processed the previous business day. eAlerts arrive by 10 a.m. Tuesday thru Saturday. Several of the alerts will recur daily as long as your account meets the requirement for that alert. (If you are concerned about your cellular provider's text messaging charges, you can delete this alert.)

Are eAlerts safe?

eAlerts are unsecured messages sent directly to the electronic address you provide. While no password or account number information is sent via eAlerts, the message may include some information about your accounts. Anyone with access to your email or other electronic devices will be able to view the contents of these alerts.

What if I need to change my email address or cell phone number?

  • Log on to Internet Banking.
  • Click Alerts on the Menu Bar.
  • Click the Email or Text alert link.
  • Locate the alert and click the Edit icon.
  • Make your changes and click submit.

Can I receive eAlerts at more than one electronic address?

Yes. You can specify as many email addresses or cell phone numbers as you like. You will need to set-up the alert for each electronic address individually.
