If you are using token authentication you are already using our strongest security protocol and the new enhanced security protocols described below will not affect you.

At BAC, protecting our customer's personal and financial information is a top priority. The new STRONG password and ENHANCED challenge questions will help us better protect you while banking online. Please review the information below that explains how to create a STRONG password and how our ENHANCED challenge questions work. As always please contact us if you have any questions.

Customer Service

STRONG Passwords

When we introduce our new enhanced security protocols you will be asked to change your password the first time you log-in to Internet Banking. When you log-in the system will prompt you to choose a new password that conforms to our new enhanced security protocol.

Password Requirements

  • Minimum password length is 6
  • Maximum password length is 12
  • 1 Uppercase Letter
  • 1 Lowercase Letter
  • 1 Number
  • 1 Symbol (Only symbols on keys 1-0 may be used.)

Password Tips

To help ensure the security of your password, you should:

  • Choose a password that is different than your Visa Check Card PIN.
  • Choose a password that is different than your username.
  • Select a password that is not easy for others to guess such as your phone number or Social Security number.
  • We recommend that you change your password every 60 days for added security.
  • Memorize your password and never write it down or reveal it to anyone, including bank employees.
  • Do not let other people use your password. By giving your password to another person, you take full responsibility (until you notify us) for all transactions made by that person or anyone else they may give your password to.

Security Questions

How it Works

You select and answer three security questions. If we ever need to confirm your identity, your correct answers to these questions will help us verify it's you. Please note that we will never ask you to provide answers to your security questions via email. All customers must register security questions to access their accounts online.

Tips for Selecting Your Questions

  • The answers to the security questions you select should be different for each question, and easy for you to remember, but hard for anyone else to guess.
  • If you have selected security questions on other sites, you should avoid using the same questions to help secure online access to your accounts.
  • Avoid choosing questions for which the answer is posted on social networking sites or public websites like Facebook and LinkedIn.

Quick and easy to set up, security questions help protect your account and keep your identity safe. To learn more about how we help you protect yourself against fraud and identity theft, please visit our Consumer Resources page.
